The geyser of the Unconscious

The Beast and the Rider have a mutual goal, a definite, defined direction. Several things are unfolding and falling into place, starting to form the picture I had scetched in my mind, and it’s more precise than I had imagined. I suddenly see connections, a web of threads, between normally arbitrary things. Third eye opens. Meaningless bits become important. Everything appears to relate to the opus I’m working on. A book I read suddenly reveals a new angle in the lyrics or themes of the work. Songs that were without titles (something exceptional as I usually come up with a title long before a song is finished) find names that they were made for from the beginning. Forwards, backwards, ten or more years. Old, forgotten fragments surface from a pile of debris and find themselves more relevant in the current context than they were ever before. It’s starting to feel like I’ve been working on this album since 1993 or so. Everything seems so clear now, yet I suspect it to be illusion… as the closer you get, the harder it is to see the big picture. Must ask for comments and opinions from the few trusted ones.
“The ‘work of art’ which appeals to contemporary judgment can never, save some rare accident, be of the timber of Yggdrasil. For one main factor of its immediate success must be its amalgam with the Zeitgeist, a mercurial element corrosive of true gold.”
(from The City of God by Aleister Crowley)
